Europe: Part 1

Yes, I realize we have been back from our trip for a month and no pictures yet. My family keeps asking when I am going to blog about the trip...so here goes part 1:

We flew out of Las Vegas and met up with Scott and Cassie (Seth's brother and his wife) in SLC. We endured a long red-eye flight to Paris where we had the day to kill before our night train departed to Venice.

Starting off the trip...

We ate yummy crepes while we gazed at the Eiffel Tower

It rained while we were there...

Night train to Venice, Italy...It was a long ride! (around 14 hours...)

Scott & Seth

We made it! Don't we look fantastic after literally days of travel??? We took a water taxi to the house we stayed at.
Venice was absolutely beautiful! We loved it there and definitely will be going back someday!

This was the front yard of the house we stayed in. (one of the few in Venice with a yard) Cassie did an awesome job with our accomodations! We were in a little locals area but still super close to all the touristy sites/things.

Cute little house from the other view...

Rialto Bridge

The gang: Cassie, Scott, me, Seth

Very expensive birthday cake!

Mask shop fun

Can't go to Venice without riding in a gondola!

These boys are weird!

Mmmm...gelato!

Heading to the beach in Lido

We found lots of cool shells, but they were too stinky to bring home!

One of the many pharmacy shots...I bought some much needed aloe vera gel at this one!

We went to a Vivaldi concert one night (he grew up in Venice ya know)

Piazza San Marco

San Marco Basilica

Prison under Doge's palace (where Casanova escaped)

So sad to leave Venezia...but excited to see Rome next!

I don't know why you bothered going all the way to Venice, when Venice is just around the corner...on Las Vegas Blvd and Spring Mountain road. It looks just the same!

Congrats on finding out your baby is a girl! I'm very excited for you, you will simply be the best parents ever! I'm super glad you got to travel before she came. We did the same thing. I was 3 months pregnant when we went to England and Ireland... Isn't over seas travelling just amazing? and exhausting? It looks like you guys had so much fun...and congrats on graduating Seth, that name sure helps you feel like it's more of a giant accomplishment doesn't it? My degree had a long name too, it just made me feel more smart ;) Love you guys! Looks like you're having so much fun!

It looks like you guys had so much fun. One of these days maybe Brian and I will get to go somewhere cool. Maybe when he's finally finished with school! (which is 2 maybe 3 years away:)
How are you feeling? you need to post a picture of you and your cute belly! I hope you are doing well. Only a month to go. Good luck!
