TAGGED!

This blog really is a dual effort for Seth and I, so since we were tagged we decided to both contribute on our randomness...so here goes:

6 Random Things About Me (Us)

Lindsay:
1. Some people who have had the opportunity to play any game with me already know this, but I am VERY competitive! It doesn't matter what game it is, I HAVE to win. Whether I am winning or losing there is always trash talk going on. Don't get me wrong, I'm fun to play with; I'm just more fun if I win!

2. I eat Oreos with a fork. I learned how to do this from my genius older brother, Jared (he really is a genius). It’s great, and I know you're gonna try it after this! You take a fork and slide it into the creamy middle of the Oreo, THEN dip it in the milk, that way you don’t get your fingers wet. (and the cookie has uniform soggage)

3. I have to sleep on the side of the bed that is closer to the middle of the room. I don't know why...

4. I've stuck my hand in a living person's chest. I took a trauma rotation at UMC and had the opportunity to scrub in on a few surgeries and go to all the trauma activations. Seth thinks it's totally gross and didn't want to listen to my awesome stories when I came home; so I would have to call my mom or one of my pharm friends and they would think it was cool.

5. When I'm really thirsty and start drinking something fast, I make these really loud gulping noises from deep down in my throat. Seth tries to mimick it to make fun of me, but he can't even do it.

6. Seth and I love to watch Friends together. We keep cycling through the seasons and no matter how many times we watch it, it continues to be hilarious!

Seth:
1. I can quote the movie "Princess Bride" word for word all the way through. . . voices 'n all! (At least I think I still can.) It's quite the one man show when I get going.

2. I have a 4 year old little brother. Yes, he was a surprise. The next youngest sibling is 20 already. Our special bond in the family is that we were both accidents. (I was born 11 months after my older brother.)

3. Nuts do not belong in dessert foods! Keep that junk out of my ice cream, cake, pie and cookies!

4. Some people haven't made the connection with my last name yet, but yes, I am half Mexican. The next question is of course, "do you speak Spanish?" Sadly no. . . I speak Russian. That random thing is a two-fer.

5. I took piano lessons for 9 years. I don't have much to show for it now, but I have a few favorites still memorized that I always thought had a bit of "wow" factor attached to them.

6. Savin' the best for last! When being transferred from one city to the other on my mission in Russia. . . my train derailed. Yes, I have been on an actual train that jumped the track at full speed. . .and it was awesome! To keep my mom from worrying, I didn't write home about that one. I saved that story for when I got home!

Now that you've had a glimpse of our randomness, we want to know yours! (especially Dan and/or Danielle, Dianne and/or Kiley, & Angie and/or Brian---you're tagged!)

Aaron is HOME!

My little brother Aaron just got back from his mission today! Unfortunately, I just missed him and have to wait to see him until he comes to LV for my graduation. (Which is in only 9 days!) He served in the Ecuador Guayaquil mission and I am so proud of him! He is such a great example to me and I know he was an awesome missionary! Can't wait to see you, Aaron!

Defending the Caveman?

One of the perks of living in "the city of lights" is that we sometimes get to go to shows for free or discounted rates. For instance, tonight we went to a show called Defending the Caveman; (yeah, we hadn't heard of it either). It was actually pretty funny, and I'd say worth the gas money it took to get there. (Thanks Dan & Danielle:)

Trip Home

I returned to good ol' North Sanpete High School this past weekend for my little brother's graduation. He was one of the valedictorians and gave the best talk of everyone (I'm not prejudice or anything). Is it just me, or is it kinda weird walking back into the school where you practically used to live? It's the same as you remember it, but totally different at the same time.

I was also able to meet up with my best friend Laura and her two adorable sons. I am so lucky to have her as a friend. She is a great mom and great example to me. I had such an awesome weekend with my family, but was freezing the whole time! I was glad to get back to the 90+ degree weather in the wonderful desert of Las Vegas.

Here we are!

Okay, we finally gave in! We are starting our very own blog. I gotta be honest, I like to read up on people and have been "blog surfing" for the past 6 months or so. I guess it's only fair that people can know what's going on in our lives as well, right?
